Charlotte Agnes (Schmith) Walsted, 70, of Sioux City, was welcomed into the Lord's Kingdom on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Embassy Healthcare Community in Sergeant Bluff. Services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Charlotte was born to Arnold and Florence Schmith on February 18, 1945 in Primghar, IA. Charlotte married Thomas R. Walsted on Dec. 13, 1974. They were married 33 years before his passing in 2007. Charlotte’s loyalty as a wife took her from Sioux City to Ellicott City, MD and back, touching many people along the way.

Charlotte lived her life to serve others. Her sincerity and selflessness will be her legacy. She always cared less about herself and more about the well-being of her family and others. Charlotte enjoyed cooking and baking for family and others. She also enjoyed crafts, bowling, puzzles, sewing, babysitting, and helping others. God will take care of her as she has done for so many for so long.

Charlotte is survived by her daughters Sara Miller of Sioux City IA; Pam Griffin and Ken of Columbia, MD; her sons, James Dotsikas and Kelly of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Thomas Dotsikas and Shannon of Macon, GA; 5 brothers, Charles Schmith and Marty of Sioux City; Roger Schmith and Barbara of Woodridge, IL; Robert Schmith and Karen of Sioux City, IA; Arnold Schmith and Michelle of Springfield, VA; Nicholas Schmith and Debbie of Sioux City, IA; and sister Theresa Wenham and Dave of Climbing Hill, IA; 13 grandchildren: Kenny Sweatt, Kandice Wulf, Brandi Miller, Christopher, Madison, McKenna, and Victoria Griffin, Bailey, Emma, Piper, and Patrick Dotsikas, Ava, and Layla Dotsikas; 6 great grandchildren: Aiden Mackey, Camden, Jemma, and Dasan Wulf, Kamren and Kalyn Sweatt.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Thomas R. Walsted, her parents Arnold and Florence Schmith, her brother James Schmith and her identical twin sister Charleene Andersen.
