Charles “Chuck” Harold Hagestrom, Jr. of Sergeant Bluff, IA, passed away peacefully at the age of 67.

Services will be held 10 am Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Sergeant Bluff Rec Center. Burial will be West Fork Township Cemetery in Climbing Hill at 3 pm. Visitation with the family at the Rec Center will be one hour prior to service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Chuck was born December 13, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Charles and Margaret Hagestrom. He grew up in the Sioux City and Sergeant Bluff area. Chuck worked at Swift, IBP, Hoerner Waldorf, Champion, Smurfit Stone Container, and The Winkel Foundation. He married Lenice Nicolls on May 29, 1970 they later divorced. On June 15, 1978 Chuck married Valerie Steinhauer.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, horseshoes and spending time with his grandchildren. Chuck was active on the Sergeant Bluff Fire Dept. for 9 years.

Chuck is survived by his wife Valerie, children; Charles (Ashley) Hagestrom of Whiting, IA, Melissa (Michael) Foister of Sioux City, Adam Hagestrom of Sergeant Bluff, step daughter Tina (Danny) Lundquist of Sioux City, Nick (Angie) Mercer, later adopted by Ken Mercer,( his best friend),11 grandchildren; Braiden, friend Emma, Madison, Abbie, Noah, Bailey, Ashton, Shawn, Shalyn, Emma, one great grandchild, Addiyanna, three brothers; Gerald (Diane) Lee of LeMars, IA, Ken (Shauna) Hagestrom of Sioux City, Jim (Laura) Lee of Alaska, two sisters; Sharon (David) Tedford of Sioux City, Linda (Dan) Belew of South Sioux City, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat Hershey.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Garey, Jay, John and his grandparents.
