Chance Michael Joseph Durham, 24, of Sioux City, IA, passed away March 25th, 2025.  A celebration of his life is Monday March 31st from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Don’s Sports Bar in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Chance was born on May 6, 2000 to William and Shannon (Messerlie) Durham.  He was currently working at Casey’s General Store and had previously worked at Papa John’s, did snow removal, and lawn care.  Chance was a jack of all trades.  He loved going to the skate park and skateboarding.  He was a daredevil and would skate any hills he could fine.  He enjoyed being outside, bonfires, camping, and getting a tan. He enjoyed playing football and going fishing. You could always find him down in the bayou or Missouri river casting away trying to catch the big one. He was united in marriage to Caitlin Tullis on October 31, 2021. He always loved hanging out with friends and family. He was kindhearted and would help anyone out in need. When he walked into a room his big smile grin would light up the room.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents; William and Shannon Durham; daughter, Violett Jackson; wife, Caitlin Durham; grandparents: Thelma and Emitt Durham, Wanda and Donnie Bates; siblings: Jim, Jasper, Ricky, Chris, Laddie, and Sheanna; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Grandpa Walter K Messerlie jr. and Grandma Marcella J Symons.
