Obituary

Chad B. Dreeszen, 54 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at his home. Services will be held 11:00am Friday, September 2, 2022, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Chad was born November 2, 1967, in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Douglas and Jane (Bailey) Dreeszen. Chad lived his whole life in Sioux City, graduating from North High School in 1986. On October 7, 1988, he married Roxanne Distefano, and in this union, they had two children Alexandria and Anthony. They later divorced but remained friends. He worked at Aquatic Pool and Spa from 1987 until 2000, from there Chad went on to work for CNR Pool and Spa until 2003. He then worked for Masaba Mining in Vermillion, South Dakota.

He enjoyed going fishing, playing pool, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. Chad loved to be around his family, especially his granddaughter Aria. He was a phenomenal cook.

Chad is survived by his stepfather, Vern (Joann Phillips) Gries, stepmother, Darlene (Bruce) Elving, two children, Alex (Jon Androy) Dreeszen, Anthony Dreeszen, brother, Wade (Shelly) Dreeszen, two sisters, Sonya Gries, Darcie Storms, granddaughter, Aria, & nieces and nephew.

He is preceded in death by his mother Jane Gries and father Douglas Dreeszen, grandparents, aunts and uncles, stepbrother, Steven Gries, stepsister, Debra Gries
