Cecelia A. Tripp, 88 of Sioux City, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at a local care facility.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Cecelia Ann Tripp was born on August 6, 1925 in Sioux City, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Findeisen) Tripp. She graduated in 1943 from East High School. She worked at Sioux Tools until retiring in 1990.
After retiring, she kept busy helping plan special events and making and delivering greeting cards to residents at Prime Living in Sioux City. She enjoyed scrabble, board games, word search and old movies. Cecelia was a former member and officer of the ABWA, and she was with the Senior Companion until August of last year. Cecelia was a long time member of the Rustin United Methodist Church.
Cecelia is survived by a nephew, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, Violet Tripp, her brother Carl Tripp and a half brother, Edgar King.
