Catherine D. Mathison, 50 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at a local hospital, surrounded by her family.

Memorial Service will be held 5:00 pm Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans. Visitation with the family begins at 4 pm.

Catherine was born on June 7, 1970 in Sioux City, the daughter of Richard and Alice (Frank) Mathison. She graduated from West High School in 1989. For a few years she was married to Joseph Babcock. Catherine had worked at Goodwill Industries during the 1990’s.

Catherine enjoyed watching wrestling, soap series and the Law & Order shows on TV. However, her main love was being with her family and especially her grandchildren, which were the whole world to her.

Catherine is survived by her son Christopher (Chelsey) Mathison, her daughter Destiny Mathison, grandchildren Ambrielle Mathison, Ariel Mathison, Ruby Rodriguez and Koltin Mathison, mother Alice Frank and sisters Terri Hua and Lori Mathison.
