Casey J. Schroeder, 42 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his home. Celebration of life will be held 6:30 pm Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Casey Joe Schroeder was born December 27, 1978 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Billy and Colleen (Powell) McCorkindale. Casey attended West High School. He worked with Dave Van Lunen in Crop Insurance since 2013.

He was a talented musician, six-time Grand National Boat Jousting Champion, Mayor McCheese of underground music, downtown mini-golf team Captain, shuffleboard instructor and dad to the smartest, most beautiful, bestest kitties ever.

Casey is survived by his mother and stepfather, Colleen (Wayne) Nielsen, sister, Mandy Smith, four nieces, Ayrn Schroeder, Lily Smith, Olivianna Briella Jones, nephew, Sebastian Schroeder, two cats, Echo, Zelda, step-siblings and their families Kelly Kerhove, Wendy Larson, Jenny Elwood and Jackie Hodgins , and many many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billy McCorkindale, brother, Jeramy Shupe, and a good friend, Mike Richard.
