Carrie L. Cardwell, 45 of Sioux City died Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Funeral Services will be held 6 pm Thursday, August 22, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation 5-6 pm at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Carrie Leth Cardwell was born on October 10, 1978, in Sioux City. She attended East High School and then enrolled at Western Iowa Tech Community College receiving degrees in Medical Secretary, Medical assisting & LPN.

Carrie worked at the Mercy Wound Clinic and most recently at Unity Point - St. Luke's. She enjoyed time with her family, listening to music with her friends, doing diamond art and being on an area Dart League.

Carrie is survived by her mother, Christine Tanner, two brothers, Alan (Charity) Smith and Scott Smith, two uncles, Alan (Devy) Tanner and Craig Tanner, aunt, Andrea (Jerry) VanPeursem,  two cousins, Kimberlee Vanpeursem, TJ Gray, nephew, Conner Smith and niece, Sophia Smith and her cats Snickers and Honey.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Dorothy Tanner, cousins, Jennifer (Troy) Gray, 2nd cousin, Michael Gray and an aunt, Debbie Tanner.
