Carolyn S. Montagne, 72 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at a local hospital, surrounded by her family. Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Carolyn was born August 16, 1950, in Akron, Iowa the daughter of George and Blanche (Schwarberg) Milbrodt. Carolyn’s family moved to Hinton as a young girl where she graduated Hinton High School, she continued her education at WITCC in the nursing field.

She married Michael Montagne on February 13, 1969, and together they made their home in Sioux City. Carolyn worked as an RN at Westwood nursing home for 25 years, and then at St. Luke's/unity point hospital for over 10 years.

Carolyn was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed trips to the Casino, gardening, planting vegetables and flowers. Carolyn loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Montagne of Sioux City, two children, James (Cortnie) Montagne, Dana Montagne both of Sioux City, four sibling, David (Tami) Milbrodt of Hinton, Peggy East of Hinton, Cynthia (Daniel) Schueler of Texas, Michelle (Douglas) Marks, of Lawton, three grandchildren, Joshua, Joslyn, Brady, four great grandchildren, Jetta, Lennex, Leo, and Makenna.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Brooks.
