Caroline F. White, 79 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at a local hospital. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Indian Mission. Burial will be in Hobu Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm Tuesday, April 8, 2025, until the service on Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Caroline “Dupa Win” White was born December 12, 1945, in Knox County, Nebraska. She was one of nine children of Phillip and Hazel (West) White. Caroline graduated from Niobrara High School and continued her education at NICC College in Santee, Nebraska and she went on to work at ICWA for Santee. Caroline also worked in the Badger Building as a Junior Achievement and retired in 2009.  She was also on Tribal Council for the Santee Sioux Tribe.

She enjoyed sewing and being with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Caroline will be remembered by her three sons: James White, Kevin White, and Michael White; two daughters: Amanda Gilpin and Kimberly White; brother, William White; sister, Marlene White; 16 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick Dotter; brothers: Stanley White, Joseph “Joe” White, Perry “Peanut” White and Phillip White, Jr.; sisters: Delores Mosaquites White, and Phyllis White.
