Caroline Corrine Bruyn, 85, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Westwood Nursing and Rehab. Services will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation will begin two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Caroline was born on September 14, 1932 in Sac City, Iowa to Bert and Celia (Rubendall) Frances. She attended Sac City schools and later became a CNA, working at Park View Nursing Home in Sac City for many years.

Caroline married Louis E. Arndt on July 27, 1952, to this union one daughter was born, Celia. Caroline and Louis later divorced. She married Wesley Kuester in 1978. Wesley became ill, and Caroline cared for him until his passing. Caroline then married Danny Bruyn on October 25, 1997, and he later passed away.

Spending time with family was very important to Caroline, especially her grandchildren. She was a social butterfly and greatly enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Caroline enjoyed playing Bingo and was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Celia Vogt of Sioux City; grandchildren, Ronald W. (Meredith) Vogt, Wendy (Jose) Azpeitia, Jason (Allison) Vogt, Tiffany (Matthew) Kayl, Briana Vogt, and Jesse Vogt; 17 great grandchildren, Ronald M., Aaliyah, Madison, Carson, Bentley, Kyler, Dominic, Armando, Samantha, Gavin, Gabriella, Giselle, Corry, Caden, Maynard, Anastasia, and Leonardo; and many step children, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gwen and Thelma; brother, Elwood; and great grandson, Austin.
