Carol J. Meyers, 70, of Sioux City, IA, passed away July 16, 2024 at a local hospital.  A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July27, at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Carol was born on November 25, 1953 in Swea City, IA to Russel and Avalda (Mueller) Gibson. She graduated from Ledyard High School in Ledyard, IA, where she was an all-state softball player.  Carol worked as a CNA for Touchstone Nursing Home for 35 years before retiring.  She enjoyed reading and playing scrabble.  She was a talented artist and liked to paint and draw.  She especially loved Elvis and old movies.

Those left honor her memory include her two sons: Tony and Terry (Natalie Clausen-Meyers) Meyers; Former husband, Gene Meyers; grandchildren: Danica and James; and  three brothers: Jerry (Pauline) Gibson, Glen (Leslie) Gibson, Keith (Barb) Gibson,

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Dean and James Gibson.
