Obituary
Carol L. Jacobson, 76, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at her residence. Services will be held 6:00 pm, Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. A visitation will begin at 4:00 pm to service time at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at Graceland Park Cemetery.
Carol was born on November 3, 1939, in Rapid City, SD, the daughter of John and Betsy (McClain) Cosgrove. She graduated from Walthill High School in Walthill, NE. Carol married John Jacobson in 1961 in South Sioux City, NE, they later divorced.
Carol worked in medical records at Mercy Medical Center for thirty plus years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed working in her flower gardens.
Survivors include her sons: Marty and Becky Jacobson, Kirk Jacobson, Michael Jacobson, and Daron and Wendy Jacobson, all of Sioux City, brother: Pete Cosgrove of Oklahoma, and Mike and Barb Cosgrove of Texas, sisters: Bethene Hoar and Shirley Tuttle of Minnesota, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Ahlers.
