Carol Jean Bunch

Carol Jean Bunch, 77, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on April 10, 2026. A private family service will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Carol was born on July 11, 1948 in Sioux City, IA to William “Bill” and Florence (Fries) Mannion. She graduated from Central high school and was united in marriage to James Bunch in December 1967. She worked at Northwestern Bell for over 20 years and at Internal Medicine Doctors office for 25 years. Carol was the world’s best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed. Carol enjoyed collecting horses, her houseplants, and playing bingo on her tablet.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, James Bunch; children: Jeannie Lawler and Jason (Dawn) Bunch; her mother, Florence “Pitty” Mannion; brothers: Curt and Clark Mannion; grandchildren: Dani, Sean, Seth, Ashley, Natasha, and Autumn; great-grandchildren: RyLee, Luke, Lucky, Holden, Zane, Remington, Savannah, Rory, and Rowan.

She is preceded in death by her dad and brothers: Calvin “Mikey” and Craig Mannion.
