Carol Lynn Aspleaf, 70, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on April 25, 2024.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Colorado.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Carol was born on August 19, 1953, in Sioux City, IA to Clifford and Ella (Morrissey) Martinson.  After graduating high school, she went on to receive her certificate as a CNA, and worked in retirement homes in Aurelia, Cherokee, IA and Denver, CO.  She was united in marriage to Terrence Aspleaf in 1970.  Carol had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, planting sunflowers, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She had a special bond with her granddaughter, Sophia, with whom she lived with for several years. She had dreams and expectations of fixing up houses and would watch home remodel shows.  In her final days, Carol was telling everyone she saw "I love you”. Carol will be missed by many.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Cassie Coffman, Nicole Aspleaf, and Michael Aspleaf; 2 grandchildren: Sophia and Matthew; special friend, Jeff Thompson; and her two older brothers Dale & Dave.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Terrence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
