Obituary

Carlyle E. Krause, 66 of Sergeant Bluff, died Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

Memorial Services will be held 11 am Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation 1 hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Carlyle E Krause, age 66 from Sergeant Bluff died unexpectedly Tuesday April 20 , 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was battling cancer but passed away from other health complications. He was born on May 6, 1954 in Sioux City, Ia to Mildred Hatfield and Gerald Krause. He married his high school sweetheart Jami (Reinert) Krause on Aug 24, 1974 in Sioux City, Ia.

Cardy enjoyed his time watching sports and texting with his son during the games, he was an avid Hawkeye's fan. Go Hawks! He was a kind man who told many animated stories and could always make people laugh. Cardy loved spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren Skylynn, Aubrey and Jackson. They were his pride and joy. He looked forward to going to work everyday to spend time with the "guys". His co-workers were his second family and he will greatly be missed. And of course his wife, they were happily married for 46 years and shared many memories and journeys together.

Cardy was survived by his wife Jami Krause, son Eric Krause (Maggie), daughter Amanda Whittington, grandchildren Skylynn, Aubrey and Jackson, his brother Ray Krause (Sandra), sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Cardy was proceeded in death by his sister Anna Plambeck, his Mother Mildred Hatfield and his Father Gerald Krause.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for a donation to be made to The Siouxland Humane Society.
