Carlos T Barrera, Jr. was born on September 9, 1984 in Lansing, Michigan, the first born son of Carlos Barrera and Ann Barrera (Schmidt).

Carlos always worked and was a hard and reliable employee. Using his skills he did work in roofing, construction, landscaping and food service.

Carlos loved football; his favorite teams were Michigan State University and the Dallas Cowboys.  He loved cars; fast, foreign and exotic.  He was always willing to help others, not afraid to jump in and learn new trades and skills along the way.  Carlos had a way of making us laugh, joking, and sharing funny memories of the past.  He loved his family most of all.  He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Carlos is survived his father, Carlos, mother, Ann (Todd Schmidt); six children, Antonio, Yenesia, Carlos III, Margarita, Elijah and Uiliana; two brothers, Adrien and Gabriel; three grandchildren, Hakeem, Yacine, and Zarah; two nieces, Kambria and Guinevere, nephew Kingsley and grandmother, Juanita Barrera.
