Bryan D. (Pee Wee) Palmer, 54 of Smithland, Iowa, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his home.

Service will be held 7:00pm Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff, 400 4th Street, with Rev. Roy Struble officiating.Burial will be held 1:00pm Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Smithland Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7pm at the funeral home in Sergeant Bluff.

Bryan was born May 25, 1961 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Paul J. and Marilyn M (Kirkpatick) Palmer.

He was raised in the Smithland area, attended school and graduated from Westwood.

He worked six to eight years at Ballou Brickyard in Sergeant Bluff, IA, worked for River Sales Co. in Sloan, IA, unitl they closed in 1997, and then from 2000 til 2010 worked for Tiefenthaler Locker in Holstein, IA, when he moved to Smithland he started to work for Mapleton Locker for a year. He then moved to Bristow, Neb., where he was employed at the M&M Locker until May of 2014 when he returned to Smithland.

Bryan loved doing for others, enjoyed baking, and fishing, but he wouldn’t eat the fish, he was a catch and release kind of guy.

Survivors include; his mother Marilyn of Smithland, IA, five brothers; Jeff of Spencer, Neb. , Curtis J. (Vicki), of Whiting, IA, John of Sioux City, Kevin of South Sioux City, James of Smithland, IA, three sisters; Kris Thompson of South Sioux City, Neb., Carla Schleswig, IA, Debra (Brent) Kroll of Ricketts, one uncle Terry Kirkpatrick of Mineral Wells, Tx, one aunt Mildred Burns of Whiting, IA, and several nieces and nephews.

Bryan is preceded in death by his father Paul J. Palmer, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, and two nephews Robbie and Donnie Palmer.
