Bryan A. Maron, 75 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Bryan (Mr. Wonderful) was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Glen and Ida Maron on December 13, 1947. Bryan attended his school years at various Sioux City schools where he was a part of boy scouts and tackle football. He then graduated from Central High School in 1967. Bryan was drafted to serve in Vietnam and along the way he became a father to Heather. Bryan had various jobs following Vietnam, Hitches, the railroad, Alfs Manufacturing, and Woodbury County before his retirement.

Bryan loved to go fishing, play softball, camping, watching sprint car races, NASCAR races, and was a huge Vikings fan. For a short period of time Bryan was a Sioux City Musketeer hockey fan. He absolutely adored all of his cats. He loved to feed all the animals that came around throughout the years like deer, birds, turkeys, stray cats, and raccoons. Bryan was involved with the American Legion Post 64 and for a short time drove for the VA.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Rhonda Rogers, daughter, Heather Maron-Vaughan (Sean), their son Joshua Rogers, stepdaughter, Michelle Eggleston, three grandsons Cade Maron (Morgan), Connor Vaughan and Dylan Vaughan (Coral), one great grandson, Clayton, sister, Donna (Bob) Rasmussen, nieces Lauri Iddings, Stephanie (Alfred) Taylor, and his best friend Ryan Chytka along with many other loving family members.

Bryan’s family wishes to give special thanks to his sister-in law Renee Hegel for her special care she showed for Bryan. and also to Kim Kropp of Hospice of Siouxland for her care during Bryan’s time with hospice.
