Bruce A. Leaver, 59, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at a local hospital. Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 at Covington Links Golf Course, 497 Golf Road, South Sioux City, Nebraska. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Bruce was born on September 22, 1954 in Sioux City, the son of Floyd and LaVonne (Rude) Leaver. He attended McKinley Elementary, Woodrow Middle, and Central High School in Sioux City. Bruce was a machinist at Sioux Tools, and had also worked at Smitty Muffler and Sioux Muffler. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his father Floyd Leaver, son Brandon Morgan and his wife Lexi Rawson, Step-son Travis Morgan, brothers Danny Leaver and Dean Leaver and his wife Jana, sister Barb Lensink and her special friend Ron Hope, and grandson Ivan Morgan, all of Sioux City, his special friend Sherry Bougher and her children David, Lisa, and Chris.

Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, LaVonne Leaver, and his grandparents.
