Brenda Sue Wennekamp

Brenda Sue Wennekamp, 71, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on June 8, 2026. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 20 from 11-3:00 p.m. at RiverzEdge Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Brenda was born on October 7, 1954 in Atlanta, GA to Stanley and Francis (Marinos) VanCleave. She graduated from East High School and was united in marriage to Harold Wennekamp on June 19, 1999. Brenda worked as a cook in the Sergeant Bluff school district for many years as well as a cook at WIT. She enjoyed roller skating when she was younger, playing cards and on dart league, and decorating her house.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Michael (girlfriend, Lauren) Price, John Price, Susan Price, Chris (Brandee) Price; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and brother, Vic (Donna) VanCleave

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; sisters: Ann Barbee and Kathy Graves.
