Brenda Sue Peterson, 65, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at a local hospital. Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, August 13,2022 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Brenda was born Sunday, November 2, 1956, in Sioux City, Iowa to Donald and Ada (Hanson) Erickson. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1975. Brenda worked as a legal secretary where she was given the nickname "Buzzy" by one of the attorneys because her initials were BSE before she was married (and divorced). Brenda moved to Arizona where she stayed for about 12 years. She returned to Sioux City and went back to work at her legal secretary job, having to retire due to her health. Brenda was also on a pool league in her earlier years. Brenda loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and her family.

Brenda is survived by her brothers; Larry Erickson and Rick (Mary) Erickson and her sister; Donna (Milford)Bell.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Melissa.
