Bounsom Yodprasit, 73, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by his family on June 10, 2024.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15th at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 1 hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff, 400 4th St., Sgt. Bluff, IA.

Bounsom was born on October 5, 1950 in Xignabouli, Laos.  He was united in marriage to Kongsee Yodprasit.  Bounsom and his family were refugees in Thailand before getting a sponsor and coming to the United States in 1987.  He then worked at Tur-Pak Foods and Michael Foods in Wakefield, NE before retiring.  Bounsom enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a caring, funny man with a great sense of humor that will be missed by many.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Kongsee; children: Manee Yodprasit, Sombat Yodprasit, Vatsana Yodprasit and son in law Mike Champalath; and his grandsons: Shai and Ezale.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
