Beverly J. Babb, 78, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at Touchstone Living Center. Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be at Grant Cemetery in Rodney, Iowa at a later date.

Bev was born on December 4, 1938 in Alta, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Mina (Hollister) Moore. She grew up near Grant Center, IA and graduated from Mapleton, IA high school in 1957. Following graduation, Bev attended nursing school in Sioux City. She graduated at the top of her class and became an LPN, working for St. Luke's Hospital for 29 years. Bev retired from Jackson Recovery.

Family was the most important part of Bev's life, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Bev loved big family get-togethers, cooking and baking meals for everyone were very special for her. One of her many specialties that everyone enjoyed was her pumpkin pie. Her home was always open to anyone and everyone.

Survivors include her children, Kevin Babb, Todd Babb, Kim (Bill) Nielsen, and Terri Calvillo; brother, Doug (Mary) Moore; grandchildren, Josh, Levi, Troy, Jeremy, Thad, Hope, Jenny, Chad, Brandon, Nathan, and Christina; many great grandchildren; lifelong friend, Lynette Androy; and very special son in law, Randy Harmon.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; and two children, Kathy and Teresa.
