Bethal “Mickey” Bernice Koedam, 88, of Sioux Center, IA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Royale Meadows Care Center in Sioux Center. Per Mickey’s wishes, she will be cremated and private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Mickey was born on February 18, 1929 in Mitchell, SD. As a teenager, she moved to Oregon where she married and had three children, Ronald, Janet, and Patricia and from them came twelve grandchildren.

After retiring, Mickey moved to Arizona where she pursued her love of fishing. While in Arizona her husband passed away. In 2000, she met and married Elmer Koedam, and they have been together ever since. With Elmer, she moved to Iowa where she had enjoyed being part of the Koedam family for the last 17 years. Elmer’s children are Darrell, Darla, Brenda, and Brian and eleven grandchildren.

Mickey was a loving and caring, wife, mother, Grandma, and friend.
