Beth McCord, 72, of Lawton, IA, passed away December 12, 2023.  A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  The family requests that you wear casual attire for the service.

Beth was born on May 20, 1951, in Manning, IA to Edward and Jean (Alter) Zeiser.  She graduated from high school and married her high school sweetheart, Stuart McCord Jr. in February of 1973.  Beth worked at Lawton-Bronson school for several years as a study hall supervisor and as an aide in the lunchroom.  Later she worked as a bartender and office manager for Distinctive Gourmet for many years.  Beth loved to read romance novels and spend time with her granddaughter, Haylee.  She enjoyed playing Bunco, going out to eat with her friends, and coffee with Linda and Pat.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Callie (Daymond Pederson) McCord and their daughter, Haylee; brothers: Dave (Kay) Zeiser, Mike (Dana) Zeiser, and Joel (Cheryl) Zeiser; uncle, Bob (Bev) Alter; brother-in-law, Michael (Julie) McCord; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; family friend, Cami Parks; and grand-dog, Stella.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stuart McCord, Jr.; son, Joseph S. “Joe” McCord; sister, Jill Zeiser; mother and father-in-law:  Stuart Sr. and Patty McCord; brother-in-law, Gordon McCord; and grand-dog, Snoopy.
