Obituary

Becky Jane (Medina) DeCora, 63, of Sioux City, entered into heaven on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 2, 2016 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. A visitation will begin on Wednesday, August 31 at Four Directions Community Center until the time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Becky was born on August 3, 1953 in Winnebago, Nebraska, the daughter of Luis and Charlotte (John) Medina. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1972. Becky worked at the downtown Bush Cleaners and for many years at the Indian Hills Care Center. Her last place of employment was Countryside Retirement until she could no longer work due to her illness.

Becky always had a beautiful smile on her face. She adored her family and loved spending all of her time with them.

Becky was a strong Native/Mexican woman. She was the most kind hearted, loving mother. No matter what, she was always there for her family. She was always supportive of everyone's beliefs and wanted the very best for all. She loved all of her grandkids. Her eyes were the most unique, she had a very natural beauty inside and out. Becky was a big Motown music lover and was known for making the best Mexican enchiladas, just like her moms. Becky was always humble and kind to everyone she met. She was the best sister, we rode bikes together and played ball together. Becky was the most loving and caring person. We will never forget her.

Survivors include her husband, Keith Decora; two daughters, Nola DeCora and Nicola Donado; three grandsons, Gustavo Ayon, Jr., Hugo Ayon, and Favian Ayon; three granddaughters, Angela Cabrera, Alicia Donado, and Kitana Rojas, all of Sioux City; sisters, Lois Medina and Sharon Garcia both of Sioux City; brother, Terrence (Pat) Medina; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many beloved friends; and her beloved pet dog, Cookie.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Charlotte Medina; brothers, Richard "Sharkey" Medina, Anthony Medina, Kenny Torrez; brother in law, Santiago "Chago" Garcia; Godchild, Autumn Rain Flowers; and her late companion, Tom Udeing.
