Barbara Joan Amundson was born on August 3, 1939 in Boulder, Montana, the daughter of Roy and Emma (Van Diest) Francis. She graduated from the Boulder High School in 1958.

Barbara raised her family beginning in Helena, Montana and later in Jefferson, SD. On August 29, 1992 Barbara was united in marriage to Marlin Amundson. They lived in Boise, ID and recently moved to Sioux City, IA where they resided at Sunrise Manor retirement facility.

Barbara loved cooking for her family, treasuring her time with her children and grandkids, playing Bingo and taking care of her rose bushes. She also enjoyed taking care of her 3 Himalayan cats over the years.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Marlin, sons Roger (Connie) Logelin, Alex (Robin) Logelin, Robert (Debbie) Logelin and Christopher (Shauna) Merryman, her daughter Robin (Dennis) Beller, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Tom (Donna) Francis and Ralph Francis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Eddy Logelin, four brothers and 2 sisters.
