Barbara Ann “Barb” Waterman, 71, of Hawarden, Iowa passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, with her family by her side. Memorial Services will be 11am Monday, November 14, 2022, at Centerpoint Church, 400 10 ^th Street, Hawarden, Iowa. A Visitation will be held from 4-6pm Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the church. A luncheon will be held at the Community Center following the inurnment at Grace Hill Cemetery.

Barb was born Monday, March 5, 1951, in Hawarden, Iowa to Cyril and Eylene (Heeren) Gaul. She grew up in Hawarden, Iowa graduating from West Sioux High School in 1969. Barb married Larry Waterman on July 21, 1990, and they lived in Hawarden until Larry passed away on January 21, 2016.

Barb graduated from Western Iowa Tech as a Registered Nurse. She worked at the Hawarden Hospital, Unity Point (St. Luke’s) Hospital, and Morningside Care Center.

She loved quilting, playing cards, volunteering at the nursing home, playing BINGO, but most especially she loved family time!

Barb is survived by her children; Amy (Rick) Smith of Algona, IA, Bobbie (Kirt) Kelsey of Lake Park, IA, John (Amy) Kennedy of Hawarden, IA, Josh (Sarah) Kennedy of Hawarden, IA and Jodi (Brent) Plathe of Hawarden, IA; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and 5 siblings; Dave, Diane, Mike, Sue, and Jim.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, and her parents.
