Arleen “Margie” Alice Bowers, 63, of Sioux City, IA, passed away surrounded by her family on December 23, 2024 at a local hospital.  A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Arleen was born on December 13, 1961 in Sioux City, IA to Duane and Alice (Thompson) Schenzel.  She worked as a cashier for a variety of stores and restaurants throughout Siouxland.  Arleen was married to Rockey Swisher and to this union they had 3 children.  She was later united in marriage to Dennis Bowers on June 12, 1998 in Elk Point, SD.  Together they enjoyed going for rides in the truck and on Denny’s motorcycle.  Arleen was a homebody and loved spending time with her family.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Dennis Bowers; former husband, Rockey Swisher; children: Jill (Eric) Smith, Matt (Traci) Swisher, and Michelle (David Fitzsimmons) Swisher; step-children: Dale Bowers and Belinda Bowers-Perez; grandchildren: Jacob (Kalvery), Riley, Brinley, Gabriel, Keaten, and Brianna; siblings: Mike (Deb), Brad (Betty), Cheryl (Rich), and Paige; several nieces and nephews; and a great-grandbaby on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tessa Lynn; and a brother-in-law.
