Antonia Cuellar-Ayala, 72, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at her her surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Funeral Service will be held 10:30am Friday, August 2 , 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, Ne. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Thursday, August 1 , 2019 at Waterbury Funeral Service, 4125 Orleans Ave.
Antonia was born on January 16, 1947 in Palmito, Durango, México to Sixto & Octavia Cuellar. She grew up in Río Bravo, Tamaulipas México before moving to Sioux City, Iowa in 1997.
Antonia was a very hard worker and was employed at John Morrell for over ten years until the company closed in 2010. When she wasn’t working she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her seven children, Iran, Armando, Julian, Frank, Jose, Juan, and Maggie, all of Sioux City; twelve grandchildren, Janie, Sean, Frankie Jr., Lucy, Eli, Audri, Anthony, Allen, Kaylee, Miguel, Lilly, and Grady; three sisters, Josefa and Enriqueta of Orosi, California, and Petra of Río Bravo, Tamaulipas México.
Antonia was preceded in death by her parents, Sixto & Octavia; siblings, Julian, Silvia, Juan, and Matilde; and grandson, Jesus.
