Anna Maria (Esposito) Reuwsaat, 88, of Sioux City, Iowa entered into Heaven peacefully Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Westwood Specialty Care, following a battle with cancer. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Memorial service will be held 11:00am Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Anna was born June 18, 1928 in Naples, Italy the daughter of Liugi and Carmela (Regubuth) Esposito. During WWII she met and married Royal Johnson in Italy under the U.S. flag. After the war, the couple returned to the United States and made their home in Sac City, Iowa, where she became an American Citizen. Anna moved to Sioux City in the early 1980’s, she was a mother of seven children.
She was a wonderful home maker, enjoyed cooking Italian food for her family and friends. Anna was creative and loved to sew.
Survivors include her seven children, John (Linda) Johnson of Webb, IA., Arlene Quandt of Sergeant Bluff, IA., Linda (Doug) Bailey of Gretna, NE., Nancy Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO., Tony (Susan) Johnson of Glenwood, IA., Barb (Dave) Green of Denison, IA., and Mario Reuwsaat of Sioux City, IA; brother Mario of Naples, Italy; sister Elena of Naples, Italy; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Royal Johnson, Adrian Reuwsaat, sister Bianchina, five brothers Salvatore, Giovanni, Vittrio, Guido, Raffaele, and a grandson Lance Vergith.
