Obituary

Ann Margaret Stapleton, 49, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away June 24, 2015 at a local hospital. Services will be held 11:00am, Monday June 29, at Morningside Lutheran Church with Reverend Darren Vick officiating. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Ann was born December 22, 1965 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was the daughter of William and Iva (Carlson) Taylor. In 1982 she moved to Sioux City, and started attending East High School as a Junior. She graduated from East in 1984. Ann married Larry Stapleton on September 17, 1988. They had 3 beautiful children together. They later divorced.

Ann enjoyed many hours outside working in the yard and landscaping. She loved working with children and worked many years at East Middle School in the Special Needs classroom. She loved her family and friends, but her granddaughter, Natalie, was her pride and joy and loved spending precious time with her. She had a very giving soul and was loved by so many. She did not posses many materialistic things, but gave all she had, especially her tremendously large heart. "Anything for my children," she'd always say.

Survivors include parents Bill and Ivy Taylor of Sioux City; children Brian Stapleton, Emily Stapleton (fiancé Christopher Torngren), and Bradley Stapleton all of Sioux City; siblings Chuck (Allison) Taylor of Sioux City, Michael Taylor of Sioux City, Janet (Evert) Wiss of Fort Dodge, and Abigail Taylor of Omaha, Nebraska; Granddaughter Natalie Vollmer of Sioux City; and ex-husband Larry Stapleton of Sioux City.
