Anjanette L. "Angie" Godfrey, 50 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at a local hospital, surrounded by her family and friends. Wake services will be from 1:00pm Thursday, October 28, 2021 until service time. Funeral service will be 12:00pm Saturday, October 30 at the First Unitarian Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Howe Creek Cemetery, Center, Nebraska.

Anjanette Leigh Godfrey was born on December 15, 1970 in Sioux City, the daughter of Juliann Goodteacher and Calvin Godfrey.

Angie lived her life in Sioux City and Santee, Nebraska and Pierre, South Dakota. She had various jobs throughout her life. She enjoyed cooking and listening to oldies and Pow-Wow music. She enjoyed hanging out with friends and making new friends.

Angie loved reading passages out of her mom’s bible. She never had children of her own, but she loved being around all her nieces and nephews and treating them like her own.

Angie is survived by her father, Calvin Godfrey, her brothers Nelson Godfrey and Gaylan Godfrey, sisters Jackie Goodteacher, Leann Godfrey, Esther Godfrey and Adrienne Godfrey.

She was preceded in death by her mother Juliann.
