Andrew C. Garlinghouse

Andrew Cochise Garlinghouse, 54, of Sergeant Bluff, IA, passed away July 28, 2026. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salix United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Andrew was born on July 15, 1972 in Butte, Montana to John and Barbara (McAlexander) Garlinghouse. He moved to Sioux City, IA and attended North High School and earned his Associates Degree from WIT. He was united in marriage to Heather Foltz on August 2, 2003. To this union they welcomed three boys. They later divorced. Andrew joined the IBEW on June 1, 2002 and became a journeyman electrician on May 5, 2006. He served as the vice-president for the union for two 3 year terms. He enjoyed fishing and his Harleys -he even had names for them. Andrew also liked RC cars and for a while helped out at Bad Fast Hobbies.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother and step-father: Barbara and Ernest Ulferts; sons: Jon, Stanley, and Jack; sister, Sarah Ulferts; step-siblings: Arnold and Chrystal Ulferts; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, John and Erin Garlinghouse.
