Ana Sylvia Bernal, de 69 años, residente de Sioux City, Iowa, falleció el 10 de enero de 2026 en un hospital local. Ana amaba cocinar y pasar tiempo con su familia. Era fuerte en su fe y una mujer de gran sabiduría. Nadie salía de su casa sin recibir una palabra de conocimiento. Tenía mucho amor para dar y tocó la vida de muchas personas.
Quienes honran su memoria incluyen a sus hijas: Stephanie Ramirez y Katherine (Roberto) Villalobos; y a sus nietos: Fátima, Leonardo, Aristides y Joanna.

Ana Sylvia Bernal, 69, of Sioux City, IA, passed away January 10, 2026 at a local hospital. A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Epiphany. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7:00 p.m., with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Anthon, IA.
Ana was born on February 4, 1956 in El Salvador, the second of 8 children. She worked as a teacher before moving to the United States in 1980. While here she worked as a nurse. She was married to Gonzolo Rodriguez and later met Nelson Ramirez. Together, she had her 2 miracle daughters: Stephanie and Katherine. Ana loved cooking and spending time with her family. She was strong in her faith and was a woman of good wisdom. No one ever left her house without a word of Knowledge. She had lots of love to give and touched a lot of lives.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters: Stephanie Ramirez and Katherine (Roberto) Villalobos; grandchildren: Fatima, Leonardo, Aristides, and Joanna.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Aristides Bernal & Maria del Pilar Guardado
