Amy Marie Karstens, 36, of Sioux City, passed away, Monday, October 3, 2016 at a local hospital. A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 8, 2016 with family present throughout at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.
Amy was born on January 22, 1980 in Sioux City, the daughter of Daniel Wikstrom and Sandra Spaulding. Amy graduated from East High School and worked for Mid-Step and North Star Services for over thirteen years.
Amy married Casey Karsetens on May 11, 2013 in Correctionville, Iowa, together they had one daughter, Kiyrah. Amy enjoyed surfing amazon.com, playing cards and board games, cooking, and she had a new found love for baking. Making others laugh was very important, Amy had a great sense of humor. Amy had an immense love of music and enjoyed going to concerts. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Casey and their daughter in marriage, Kiyrah; father, Dan Wikstrom; mother, Sandi Spaulding; sisters, Ali Wikstrom and Melissa Wikstrom; sister by heart, Kindra (Mark Stroman) Johnson; paternal grandmother, Jackie Wikstrom; and nieces and nephews, Jade, Jordan, and Daniel Wayne Wikstrom II. Amy is also survived by her four Chihuahuas, Chico, Chiquita, Hunni, and Sasha.
Amy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Boyd and Gladyse Spaulding; and paternal grandfather, Alfred Wikstrom.
