Amarilis De Leon Perez, 28 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be held 6:00pm Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery 10:00am Saturday, August 22, 2020. Visitation will be held from 4-9pm Friday, August 21, 2020 at the funeral home.

Amarilis DeLeon Perez nació el 20 de junio de 1992 en San Francisco, California de Mauro y Alba DeLeon.  Junto con sus dos hijas se mudaron a Sioux City Iowa cuando Amarilis tenía 12 años.  Continúan haciendo crecer su familia y tuvieron otra hija y un hijo.  Amarilis era la mayor de sus 4 hermanos.  Tenía un espíritu amoroso y la familia y los amigos eran muy importantes para ella.  Se graduó de West High School en 2010. Poco después de la secundaria, se unió a la fuerza laboral.  Comenzó a trabajar en Kum & Go. Aquí es donde ella y Joseph Hofer se conocieron.  Trabajaron juntos y construyeron una base de amistad durante 6 años antes de convertirse en pareja.  El 20 de abril de 2012 Amarilis dio a luz a una niña a la que llamó Ariyah, una de sus mayores alegrías fue ser madre.  Amarilis tenía muchos intereses que incluían el anime. videojuegos y coleccionismo de manga.  Joseph compartía muchos de los mismos intereses.  Amarilis y Joseph estuvieron juntos durante dos años y medio cuando él le pidió su mano en matrimonio el 26 de abril de 2019. Ella dijo que sí, por supuesto y la feliz pareja comenzó a planificar su futuro.  Amarilis siempre quiso tener más hijos y se emocionó cuando ella y Joseph anunciaron que esperaban el 2 de junio de 2020. Más tarde descubrieron que iban a tener un niño el 6 de julio de 2020. Amarilis lo iba a llamar Daniel Lucas Hofer.  Amarilis había sufrido de epilepsia y el 13 de agosto tuvo una convulsión debido a complicaciones que ella y Danny fallecieron esa misma noche.

Amarilis y Danny les sobreviven su prometido Joseph Hofer, su hija Ariyah Tyler, los padres Mauro y Alba DeLeon, sus hermanas Veronica y Diana y su hermano Miguel.  Así como muchos familiares extendidos.

Amarilis era muy querida por todos los que la rodeaban.  Realmente la extrañaremos.

Amarilis DeLeon Perez was born June 20th 1992 in San Francisco, California to Mauro and Alba DeLeon.  Along with their two daughters they moved to Sioux City, Iowa, when Amarilis was 12 years old. They continue to grow their family and had another daughter and a son. Amarilis was the oldest of her 4 siblings. She had a loving spirit and family and friends were very important to her. She graduated from West High School in 2010. Shortly after high school she joined the work force. She started working at Kum & Go and worked her way up to Sales Manager because of her exemplary work ethic. This is where she and Joseph Hofer met. They worked together and built a foundation of friendship for 6 years before becoming a couple. On April 20th 2012 Amarilis gave birth to a baby girl that she named Ariyah, one of her greatest joys was being a mother. Amarilis had many interests which included anime video games and collecting manga. Joseph shared many of the same interests. Amarilis and Joseph were together for two and a half years when he asked for her hand in marriage on April 26th 2019 . She said yes, of course and the happy couple started planning for their future. Amarilis always wanted more children and was excited when she and Joseph announced they were expecting June 2nd 2020 . They later found out they were having a baby boy July 6 2020. Amarilis were going to name him Daniel Lucas Hofer. Amarilis had suffered from epilepsy and August 13 she had a seizure, due to complications her and Danny passed on later that night.

Amarilis and Danny are survived by her fiance, Joseph Hofer, her daughter, Ariyah Tyler, parents, Mauro and Alba DeLeon, sister's, Veronica and Diana and brother, Miguel. As well as many extended family.

Amarilis was greatly loved by all those around her. She will truly be missed.
