Alice Marie Ross

Alice M. Ross, 86, of Bronson, Iowa passed away November 19, 2025 at a local care center, surrounded by her family. A memorial visitation will be held Monday, November 24 from 4-6:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Alice was born on October 27, 1939 in Sioux City, IA to Roy and Ida (Wingert) Bortles. She graduated from Bronson High School. On April 12, 1958 Alice married her high school sweetheart William Ross. Together they enjoyed going to the casino and out to eat. Alice enjoyed her flower garden, cooking, baking, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Those left to honor her memory include her two sons: Doug (Linda) Ross, Jason (Sherri) Ross; daughter, Vickie Ross; daughter-in-law, Lynn; brother-in-law, Robert (Janet) Ross; six grandchildren: Rusty, Kara, Ashley, William “Billy”, Dakota, Jacey; and six great grandchildren: Bella, Kolton, Kyleigh, Justin, Brody and Emma.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Duane Ross; grandson, Matthew; sister, Jane Petersen.
