Alan Charles Sales, 78, of Sioux City, IA passed away June 18, 2024.  A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 25 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.  A private graveside service with military honors will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Alan was born on March 6, 1946 in Sioux City, IA to Joseph and Margaret (Markowsky) Sales.  He graduated from East High School in 1964 and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1964.  Alan was united in marriage to Peggy Ruhlemann on January 29, 1966 in Sioux City.  Alan received his Bachelor's degree in engineering and worked at Gateway as an engineering manager  for 11 years before starting A & J Sales Heating and Air with his son.  Alan enjoyed riding ATV's and camping.  He especially loved his 2008 GT 500 Shelby Mustang, and would often be seen cruising around town.  He was an avid Ford Mustang Enthusiast.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Peggy Sales; daughter, Kim (Tim) Maxson; son, John (Irene) Sales; grandchildren: Garrett (Ashley) Maxson, Brent Maxson, John Rivera and Kathy Bodlak.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and a sister.
