Alan Lee Davies, age 60, of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, January 02, 2014 at a local hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 5 at Morningside Assembly of God Church with Pastor Johnny Helton officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the memorial service. Waterbury Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. Alan was born in Sioux City on June 28, 1953, the son of Everton and Eva (Cooley) Davies. He was a resident of Sioux City. He spent his life living with his parents before their passing and had recently lived with his brother Jon. Alan had formerly worked at Goodwill Industries, Morningside College, worked at walmart in Salida, Colorado.

Every day was a good day according to Alan. He loved model cars, old cars and the time he could spend with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Alan’s life and precious memories will be missed by his family which includes his brother David and his wife Pamela of Sioux City, his sisters: Cindy Dirks and her husband Robbie of Sioux City and Darla Derusha and her fiancée Tim Walker of Pueblo, Colorado, along with many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jon Davies.
