Aaron H. Cox, 71 of Salix, Iowa passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:30am Friday, November 5, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Hornick, IA. Burial will be in Smithland Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Aaron was born February 3, 1950 to Mervin and Vera (Lulou) Cox. He married Linda Hubert and together they enjoyed to drag race, treasure hunt, and refurbish their hunts. Aaron was a hard worker; he farmed on the family farm while also working at the airport. He also worked for Wright Tree Service.

Aaron could fix just about anything with duck tape. He was a very easy going, simple, kind, and stubborn man who loved to talk; always having stories to tell. Aaron loved the weather channel and his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids and eating ice cream.

Aaron is survived by his son, Brian (Jody) Cox; daughters Carrie Cox, and Cheryl (Martin) Rybak; brother Ed Cox; and grandchildren Cody Cox, Jake, Jaden, and Faith Aayrn Rybak.

Aaron is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Marie Cox; both parents; and brothers Barry and Alan Cox.
